'Duffy has won an award at the 54th Ivor Novello awards in London.
She picked up the prize for the most performed work with her track Mercy,
while Coldplay won best-selling British song for Viva La Vida.
It's the latest success for Duffy, who earlier this year won three Brit awards.
Receiving her award, she said: "I was a girl from Wales. I did not know what music was.
"I knew I had a set of pipes and that would get me a long way."'
